Steve Garcia appointed Chief Operating Officer for North America

Steve GarciaWith more than 20 years in entertainment management, Garcia brings extensive working knowledge in venue management and ticketing solutions. His leadership philosophy is “It’s not just about the tickets, it is about the people.” In working with venues, Garcia recognizes that TicketSearch is the bridge to support a seamless customer experience from the initial ticket purchase, to customizing and cultivating relationships for years to come.

Although originally from Chicago, Steve began his career in the performing arts serving as House Manager for the acclaimed Vineyard Theatre in Manhattan while attending the New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. Throughout his time in NYC, Steve assumed roles of increasing responsibility in marketing and venue management across a variety of entities including TheatreworksUSA, 101 Productions, Ltd, and most notably, serving the legendary Tony Award Winning Broadway producer, Daryl Roth, as both the Associate General Manager for her Union Square Venues and Offices, as well as Director of Marketing for many of her off-Broadway commercial productions and special events. During his time at The Daryl Roth Theatre, Steve also managed over 900 performances of the Argentinian aerial circus, "De La Guarda," and he helped launch both The DR2 Theatre and D-Lounge Cabaret.

Steve aspired to have an even greater impact in the arts, so he left New York to pursue an opportunity in SaaS Business Development. He joined the team at SeatAdvisor Inc., a provider of a box office ticketing and patron management, headquartered in San Diego. Soon after his arrival, Steve launched the “Customer Success” initiative, and the company celebrated a substantial increase in customer retention. His goal was to bridge a communication gap, cultivate relationships with more than 300 clients in the field, and provide actionable feedback so that developers could support the real needs of their clients.

Steve passionately believes that a company only deserves the customers they are willing to speak with and listen to regularly. Through his customer relationships and feedback, he guided the launch of the 2015 Donation Module that allowed SeatAdvisor’s nonprofit clients to solicit and secure additional donation revenue, oftentimes crucial to sustaining operations. In 2017, Steve helped lead the company through its acquisition by Patron Technology and was soon made General Manager of the SeatAdvisor division. And as the parent company grew from 3 brands to 11, Steve was appointed VP of Account Management at PatronTechnology, positioning him to lend his talents and oversight to the many Account Managers and clients across such systems as ShowClix, PatronManager, GreenCopper, Fish and Thuzi.

Today, Steve resides in San Diego with his French Bulldog, Sebastian, and he can often be found hiking in Balboa Park or biking along the Pacific Coast (when he isn't meeting with TicketSearch clients or attending a live event). He boasts a collection of over 1,000 printed ticket stubs from various concerts, shows and events he has attended as a spectator and fan, and looks forward to accruing even more in the coming years.
